Early in the 1900's, psychiatrists became interested in the art work of patients and began to see a link between the art and the illness of their patients. At this same time, therapists were discovering that colors affect moods and emotions. One idea is to use both art therapy and color therapy.
Art Color Therapy combines art, holistic medicine and psychotherapy in a creative process using pictures for self-exploration or treatment. Such therapy is not only for people experiencing emotional, mental and physical difficulty, but it can heighten creativity and enrich life.
